Planets in rows can I borrow your book to prop this table tea time the
trick is to keep good people around and stay in the dark feast and enjoy
it's my empty head a witness of love letters
I'd rather wait I lie awake
blind hocus pocus jackknifed she tried to focus
I’ve seen better days from the bottom of the bottle
I don't want to be the one who's gonna burst your bubble
keep me up you got yourself to smack bottom any other time
as she looks outside fall out time is mine it's my heart it's my head it's
my shield it's my shoes and I know it's you fall out time for crime and
that's just who to name a few

Here it comes it's coming to me I’m up and I’m feeling sublime I had such
it's a great daze and it's so far from over
I’d rather wait I lie awake
I don't want your toys it's all in the treble
so sing your songs and hope and fall out time is mine

Come on and give me my change i've got these plans i can't rearrange
To move slow or not to grow or be known for what i know
I'll try real hard i'll go far ill be what you're looking for
The first time that i hurry's gonna be the last time that i worry
The first time that i hurry's gonna be the last time that i worry
Your comet bold too hot well it's also too cold
Some are proud others crowd but your sound is grounded now
I tried real hard i went far i know what you're looking for
The first time that i hurry's gonna be the last time that i worry
The first time that i hurry's gonna be the last time that i worry
The first time that i hurry's gonna be the last time that i worry
The first time that i hurry's gonna be the last time that i worry
Bust up your window pane, frame manes i'll take it
Dishwas now pawn or hock, anyway i'll take it
Insurance claims main-frames or giving other people famous names
The first time that i hurry's gonna be the last time that i worry
The first time that i hurry's gonna be the last time that i worry
The first time that i hurry's gonna be the last time that i worry
The first time that i hurry's gonna be the last time that i worry
Bust up your window pane, frame manes i'll take it

She lifts me in a dream
Suspended energy
It makes me scream, she makes me scream
the inside knock it out

Back talk now shut your mouth,
I got something for your dirty south
good god playing for the demons
good god figure misbelieving

keeps on dripping down my throat while you
fake the brake light up puff goes while you
stand me up most every night you'll find
that I’m fading out turn off your lights
it's just the inside

A message so serene
The last chance to redeem
It makes me scream, she makes me scream
Unearth the final key
A simple remedy
It makes me scream, she makes me scream.

Stuck in between, she makes me scream
She makes me scream, still makes me scream

He's ok, easy living day, call him alexander hayes, hey now hayes
In the hacienda he screams a silent acapella in a ciudad in Bama he
don't ask for no drama
Those are the days now that hayes hides away, his eyes grow so heavy with pain
Alexander hayes, Hey now hayes, hey now hayes, hey now hayes, hey now hayes
When it comes down to hayees he just missed out on his fame, with one
more handle to claim as it begins to break away
Hey now hayes, Hey now hayes, Hey now hayes, Hey now hayes
Hey now hayes, Hey now hayes, Hey now hayes, Hey now hayes
Those are the days now that hayes hides away, his eyes grow so heavy with pain

but I’m feeling its pressure  yeah that's a fact yeah that's a fact
I’m feeling its pressure yeah that's a fact to say my head is out my feed is out
let me tell you
spy fake thugs it's a given    this means war your forgiven  there's no need
for this division
and spies fade out it's a given it's a given
my head is out my feed is out
pen scribbles down on this here on this here Styrofoam cup
blast off blow bubbles won't see you corrupt my kid sister get back on track
but don't look back    blow  kisses  to teacher get back on track get back
on track to say
my head is out my feed is out
freeze or burn it all just stops
it takes a turn
change gets old reflects a trust of all our stories never told
they're never told they're never told  they are never told

And I feel it, rattling' on
A steal rattle driving through my head
Can't stand the pain
I see the saddle that I'll ride instead
No one's to blame
And it seems a little closer
Illusionary point of view
A tangled mess
I figment of imagination

We couldn’t see eye to eye
So simple living a lie
Accept that we both tried
Could this be the real deal
And I feel it, rattling’ on

A steal rattle driving through my head
Can't stand the pain
A broken battle with no wounded dead
No fault to claim
And it seems a little closer
Illusionary point of view
A tangled mess
I figment of imagination

Pretty eyes and pretty little cheeks you got, pretty little feet
But all the parts i like baby are making me crazy

You say you want me around, but i've, i've got something else here...on the side
Lord i've got pretty eyes on the side
You say you don't like the i dress
you say you don't like the way i confess
But all the parts you got baby they're making me crazy, said all the

Well I'm shakin' with a new pearl, everyday
It ain't that bad even though well i've got to pay
If i could keep myself right that'd be real good
I'd treat them girls you know well just like i should
Gonna flip them up (up) gonna flip them down (down)
Gonna get all crazy and well i turn 'em around
Well i ain't here for too long i ain't fakin' bring home the bacon yeah yeah
You don't say what you got to
Well i ain't here for too long i ain't fakin' bring home the bacon yeah yeah
You don't say what you got to
I'm diggin on something, I've got fifty kilos, you diggin' on what you
got, one shot back to zero
I'm diggin on something, I've got fifty kilos, you diggin' on what you
got, one shot back to zero
It never gets old, it'll never get cold, never treated me wrong because well i do what i'm told
If I could keep myself good that'd be alright, help keep my mind off of well next....

Saturday oh no no saturday, i aint here for too long i ain't faking

In my dew drop head it's clear I feel we are already there
dropped off no time to talk I’ll soon be in the air
so strangers say goodbye to a familiar place
I got my ship let's go keep up keep up a steady pace
to believe
travels good never flown quite like that before
got the spotted key and I opened up the number twenty door
looks okay and by the way I say we're down for more
wake up hot sun Joe cup and sticky bun I will explore we'll explore
we'll eat we'll drink we'll pass out on this very floor
mornings here want to take a ride soon not feeling really sure
to believe
we are on a mission just to keep from going insane
insane
this place is rather great and despite a lack of space
to the ladies keep rocking touch up touchdown with style and grace
grab the keys and take her down off this damn shady truck
muchacho said we owe him two and a half hundred bucks
get loose now we are on a mission just to keep from going insane
insane

suckers won't stop at anything I’m taking over there's nothing you can do
the tall beams the palm trees like dinosaurs they won't come after you
trapped in possibility facts and fiction it maybe time misunderstanding
trick me and say boo
and blue skies are fading
and blue skies are fading
look up look down look down my psycho wheels spin round and round sometimes

forward I think about finding you I’m peeling my eyes I’m peeling my eyes
changes won't break if you can stop them please do please do please do
I’m strolling about to reinvent the cause of this argument
shoot me a smile shoot me a smile    helicopters find us and we're through
suckers won't stop at anything I’m taken over there is nothing you can do
and I sit here waiting
there's no escaping
your times been raided
and blue skies are fading
look up  look down look down my psycho wheels spin round and round
you don't know me I don't know you I guess this is the end of everything
you don't know me I don't know you I guess this is the end

Awesome First Album for Talented Band

author: Anne Dougherty

Downtown Harvest's debut album is unique and a great start for a long career to come. No two songs are alike in anyway - lyrics, melody, rhythm. They're able to create different sounds: jazz, funk, rap, rock; it's all there. My favorites are The Rubber Band Song, B.O.B. and Pretty Eyes.

A Great Band for the Ages

author: Bryant Nnadi

This album is the precursor to Golden Dragon. The album's rich funk and jazzy undertone combined with the unique vocal color create a wonderful trip to listen to. My favorite songs are B.O.B, Mega Magellon, and Mission. Shoot the whole cd's tough.

Southern Love for Downtown Harvest

author: Sean Coulver (TN)

Randomly wandering through MySpace, led me to Downtown Harvest. A few weeks later, CDBaby delivered on their promise and my friends and I couldn't be happier. We have been rocking out to Rattle On & Mission! I had to give 4 stars because I think this band has 5 star potential in the future. Come to Nashville!

Nothing short of Spectacular

author: Jill

The first that comes to mind is "refreshing". This CD is unlike the garbage that is being shoveled on top of us in our day to day lives. The songs are fun, upbeat, and original. Thank you for the journey, it will be one that I am sure to revisit often. A+

Grab a beer and get down

author: Brendan Brennan

This is a great CD. What a fun album - great beats, surprise changeups, hooks and melodies. It's a diverse landscape, like a Yards Variety Pack you can't decide which one to drink first, but you'll surely drink 'em all. The drummer is amazing. Highly recommended.

worth checking out

author: sufi

The tunes are catchy, but somewhat too derivative of poppy bubblegum bands such as OAR for my taste. These guys are definitely talented and put on one hell of a live show (they keys/sax switch off's are ridiculous). I'm just not convinced that their sound translates well to studio recording...not to mention that upon deeper listening, the lyrics are a bit weak. Overall, worth the money...and definitely check them out live.

This CD rocks!!

author: Alex Mandel

These boys played at my school for a benefit concert. We made $800 and they rocked it!

DOWNTOWN HARVEST is one in a million!

author: Katie

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this CD! It is so different from everything that I listen to. The mix of instruments and different styles in the songs is out of this world. I would reccomend this CD to EVERYONE!

great band 1 to check out

author: nick

this cd is something ive never heard before and that what makes it so great

Fell in love with it right away!

author: doll

Music doesn’t get anymore real and unique than this! It can’t be categorized as any one genre. It’s a mix of rock, funk, and all that jazz. If you’re looking for something original and fun, this is what you want. Hands down!

love it!

author: EX MOGUL MUSIC

If you’re looking for a melody-heavy CD with some beautiful story-telling lyrics, Downtown Harvest’s debut CD (Malonga Records) is probably not for you. However, if you are in the mood for a trippy, funky, groovy-laden good time, then you’re in for a fun listen. With a psychedelic swirling opening that morphs into a bass heavy drum thump, the opening track of the self-titled CD by Downtown Harvest is a quick introduction to the mix of feeling and vibes prevalent throughout the release. “The Rubber Band” song is lighthearted and driving at the same time and features some nice meandering guitar fills and vocal harmonies. This playful but driven groove continues on the next track, “Hurry Before Worry,” with its singalong catchy refrain “the first time I hurry is gonna be the last time I worry…” this track elicits spontaneous head bopping and is an all around good time. Other notable tracks on this effort are: “TKO,” with its vibe and tempo changes is unpredictable and kind of blends elements of jazzy rock with some modern rock leanings (think old school Steely Dan funked up with some Chili Peppers); “Alexander Hayes” a percussive and horn-heavy track which has a rapid fire and syncopated vocal style to mirror the drumming; “Mega Magellan” with its guitar heavy opener and tasty wah-wahing; the oldschool rock joint of Rattle On, with its Hendrix-style guitar effects and trippy Cream-ish breaks; and “Mission” which brings to mind Donald Fagan during his “Nightfly” era (and that’s not a bad thing). Downtown Harvest are playing throughout the NY tri-state area and are becoming well known on the jam band circuit. Overall Grade: B+

Awesome! I want to lick it

Downtown Harvest is Awesome!

author: Kim Hileman

I got my cds just over a week ago, and I've been playing it ever since! My cousin and I are really enjoying all of the songs, and text each other back and forth with lyrics, just for fun. We love DTH and can't wait until they come back to the west coast.

What a hidden gem!

author: Greg

After seeing them live the other night at Pianos I absolutly had to buy the cd. And I never buy cd's! The thing hasn't left my cd player since. It is a great mix of different types of great music. Highly recommend it for fans of Dave Matthews, Widespread, Morcheeba, or any other jazzy/funky/rocking out music. Can't wait for the next one!

These guys are real musicians!

author: Sam

I bought 4 CDs--one for me and three for my friends. Only real musicians could pull off something this funky and listenable. Not afraid to be themselves and not afraid to experiment right in front of you, they defy formulas. There are awesome riffs and rhythms in this album that make you want to listen to it over and over. Can't wait for the next one. I'll definitely buy it. I'm a fan already...

rock with a twist

author: Emily Werner

its kind of like your classic rock, with hints of electric, rap and punk. all in all, very danceable & upbeat - and often makes you go "huh, that was cool..."

DTH ROCKS!!

author: Imran

This CD is off the heezy...I'm mostly a hiphop head but DTH has converted me....TKO is going to get you feeling it like WHOA. Start to finish thos CD is da shizzle.

GREAT CD!

author: Pip

What a steal, 12 ASS-KICKING tracks for only $10.95. OH, thank you DTH, oh thank you indeed!!

How many copies do you own??

author: Shy

I celebrate this bands entire catalog and this album is an excellent representation of the musical genius that is Downtown Harvest. A soulful soundscape effortlessly flowing from track to track, leaving the listener floating in a cloud of sonic satisfaction... Buy CDs for your home, office and car. And then buy a copy for your mom.

Im absolutly blown away. I don't think theres anything ells I can say!

author: Leon

This is one of thoes CD's you just stick in and let it play, no skipping to your favorit song. Every song is good and no two songs sound the same, it's like getting a variety pack, I didn't know so many influences could bundled in to one sound.... I have had this CD on Repeat in my car for the last 4 days and it keeps getting better and better every time I here it! LOVE IT!

Best band ever!!!!!

This bad will be huge sometime soon. Every song is catchy and they mix all genres of music and they mix it well. TKO is exactly that.

Hills of Beverly

author: alice mudd

This is pretty superb album, however, is it just me or does "Hills of Beverly" borrow from Pavements "Unfair" off of Crooked Rain Crooked Rain (another great album)?
